We have moved!
January 7th 2010
National Lock & Safe were struggling for space in our old office as desks seemed to get smaller as we crammed more staff in. We also had problems with storage for all of the stock we keep for our clients needs.
With business units lying empty we took on the daunting task of moving to a new premises. We found a fantastic building that is approx 15 years old that has much better office & warehouse space and ample parking for staff and visitors.
We moved over the christmas period ready for our return to work at the start of the new year. That sounded easy in an ideal world but it wasn't that simple. We walked in on Monday to face the heating that had broken down, BT had managed to cease our phone lines and our computers were not networking. However we soon devised a plan and was up and running in no time with no disruption to our customers.
We would like to thank all of our customers for all of your custom in 2009 and we look forward to working with you again in 2010. We have some new things happening in 2010 so watch this space.
The picture shows one of our vans in the snow outside our new premises.
Is "Credit Crunch" a new breakfast cereal?
November 15th 2008
Lets all brace ourselves cos it seems that we are going to be in for a bumpy couple of years. Who would have thought that Iceland would have gone bust and that Germany would have announced that they are in recession before the UK?
National Lock & Safe will be working with our customers to insure that the Credit Crunch will not affect service and that costs are kept to a minimum. With the recent drop again in fuel cost, National Lock & Safe can still provide our usual high standards but at the same rates as the previous year.
With many of our customers being Retail, we hope that all of the forecasts are wrong and that consumers are going to spend like crazy this Christmas.
National Lock & Safe wish all of our customers the best of luck through what is predicted to be a very hard time. We will still be here to ensure that you can trade, and keep secure.

Speed Stacking
November 13th 2007
Imagine my amazment when 14 year old son Jake comes home and tells me that he wants to stack cups. Jake started this last Christmas when he got his first set of cups as a present. I thought at the time that they were just a toy to see how fast you can stack them in a certain way, but no! This is a very popular sport that has taken off in the USA, Germany and Japan and world tournaments are held each year.
Jake is currently the fastest in the UK (not official) and he been asked to join the UK team to compete in WSSA World Championships, Denver in April 2008. National Lock & Safe will be sponsoring the Team. Nicky and I will be there to watch Jake take part in this extraodinary event. Many thanks to Ron Parker from Speed Stacks for giving Jake this opportunity.
